Avoiding calories in holiday cocktails doesn't mean you have to sip on water all night. Wine spritzers, light beer, sparkling wine (like Prosecco and Freixenet) and champagne are all good lower-calorie indulgences. Avoid adding mixers, like soda, tonic water and fruit juice, which can add at least 100 calories per glass. A 6-ounce glass of Eggnog contains 270 calories, and is probably the highest-calorie holiday beverage you can drink. Limit your eggnog splurge to 4 ounces and say no to seconds.
